Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Receiving Clerk. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying their contents, and ensuring they are properly stored in our warehouse. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities: - Receive incoming shipments and compare them with purchase orders or invoices - Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel - Verify the accuracy of received items by checking quantities and quality against documentation - Unload and load shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment - Organize received items in designated storage areas according to established procedures - Maintain accurate records of received shipments, including tracking numbers, quantities, and storage locations - Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely processing of incoming shipments - Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar role preferred - Proficiency in basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities - Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus - Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks - Excellent organizational skills to manage incoming shipments effectively - Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required Join our team as a Receiving Clerk and contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse.
